Natural care source

Beauty comes from the inside and when that happens, it reflects on the outside too. With the festive season just around the corner, we have curated a list of nutritious foods that can help you glow naturally, from the inside and outside.

  1. Nuts such as walnuts and almonds

Nuts such as walnuts and almonds are a rich source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These nuts are also a rich source of vitamin E, protein, unsaturated fatty acids, and a crucial antioxidant for good skin health.1

  1. Citrus fruits

Fruits such as oranges, grapefruits, black currants, and guava are a great source of vitamin C. Vitamin C is important for collagen formation, the protein that keeps the skin supple. Vitamin C and vitamin E work synergistically to act as antioxidants.2

  1. Yellow fruits and vegetables

Carrots, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, mangoes, and papaya provide the skin-friendly antioxidant beta-carotene. It also protects the skin from the harmful UV rays that cause aging and some skin conditions.2 Pair them up with a protein breakfast for a wholesome start to the day.

  1. Animal proteins

Animal-derived lean protein meats of salmon, trout, krill, shrimp, crayfish, chicken, and turkey are among high protein sources, and they also provide a derivative of vitamin A and astaxanthin, a potent antioxidant.1

  1. Green tea

Not only is green tea a refreshing drink but it also contains many flavonoids that act as antioxidants. Green tea is shown to improve skin elasticity. This results in youthful glowing skin when consumed regularly.1

This festive season, care for your skin and health by choosing healthy foods and by following healthy lifestyle habits as you enjoy the delicacies. Remember to enjoy the festive season because happiness can really make your skin glow.
